What is Claude Code?

Claude Code is Anthropic's agentic coding tool. You hand it bug fixes, tests or multi-day migrations and steer it from your terminal, IDE, desktop app, Slack or the web. It runs on macOS, Linux and Windows and is included with paid Claude plans or usable with a Claude Console (API) account.
